Maybe it has been a few years since your last cleaning, and a tooth has started to ache. Maybe you are juggling a toddler's first checkup, a parent who needs a crown, and your own question about replacing a missing tooth. For families across Wisconsin's Coulee Region, our answer is the same: one practice, close to home, for all of it. We are Rivertown Dental, a locally owned, dentist-led group caring for patients from four offices in La Crosse, Holmen, Arcadia and Viroqua.
Rivertown Dental grew from a simple idea. Families should be able to see the same doctors for routine cleanings, children's dentistry, gum care, emergencies and advanced treatment without being sent out of the area. Our offices serve La Crosse, Holmen, Onalaska, West Salem, Shelby, Arcadia, Whitehall, Viroqua, Westby and the communities in between. We see patients of all ages, starting with children from age 2.
Keeping care local is at the heart of our approach. Our general dentists provide dental implants, full-arch teeth, full mouth reconstruction, oral surgery and IV sedation, so many patients never need to travel far for complex treatment. Our dedicated Rivertown Implant Clinic is a suite inside our Holmen office, and you can reach it directly at 608-402-4008. Our on-site dental lab and same-day CEREC crowns help us keep more of your care under one roof. We sum up our philosophy in four words: Dentistry, Done Differently.

- Sedation options, including nitrous oxide for children and IV sedation for adults who feel anxious
- Help with emergencies, with a team that works to see you as soon as possible
If you do not have insurance, our Rivertown Membership Plans, also called the VIP Program, offer Classic, Deluxe and Kids plans. Each includes cleanings, exams, X-rays and fluoride, plus a discount on treatment. These plans cannot be combined with insurance. We also work with many dental insurance plans, so please call your office to confirm your coverage. Third-party financing through Cherry, CareCredit and Proceed Finance is available to patients who qualify.
Who will care for you at Rivertown Dental?
Our practice is led by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Greg Cochrane and Clinical Director Dr. Jon Cochrane, along with partners Dr. Joseph Uker and Dr. Katherine Cahill. All of our doctors are general dentists who share a commitment to thorough, respectful care. Several of them see patients at more than one office, which helps us keep schedules flexible across the region.
In La Crosse, you may see Dr. Jon Cochrane, Dr. Joseph Uker or Dr. Jagger Stephens. Dr. Uker is a Full Arch Provider and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD). In Holmen, our team includes Dr. Katherine Cahill, Dr. Kathryn Bird, who served in the Navy, and Dr. Dana Baldwin, a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). In Arcadia, Dr. Cahill and Dr. Ricardo Aparicio care for patients, supported by four bilingual team members. In Viroqua, patients see Dr. Jacob Beilke, Dr. Jagger Stephens or Dr. Jon Cochrane. Dr. Stephens and Dr. Beilke joined us in 2026. Dr. Randall Moseng, M.A.G.D., is also a Full Arch Provider. Our dental hygienists round out the team, providing cleanings, periodontal maintenance and preventive care.
How are we connected to the Coulee Region?
Because we are locally owned, our roots run through the towns we serve. Dr. Moseng helped bring fluoridation to Holmen's water supply, a step that supports the oral health of an entire community. He also volunteers with the La Crosse Mission of Mercy.
Each of our offices reflects its community. Arcadia is home to the only dental office in town, and our bilingual team helps Spanish-speaking families feel at ease. Viroqua serves families and retirees throughout Vernon County, including Westby. Our La Crosse and Holmen offices care for busy families and professionals along the Onalaska corridor. We are also growing, and we are always glad to meet hygienists and team members who want to build a career close to home.
What if you need care right away?
Dental problems rarely wait for a convenient moment. A cracked tooth, sudden swelling or a lost filling can happen to anyone, at any age. If you have a dental emergency, call the office closest to you for the earliest opening. We work to see emergencies the same day when our schedule allows, and we will do everything we can to accommodate same-day, next-day or walk-in care at any of our four offices.
