When a tooth starts aching on a weeknight or your child's next checkup is due, it helps to already know where you'll go. For families in Whitehall, WI, Rivertown Dental offers one locally owned, dentist-led practice for nearly everything, from a first cleaning at age 2 to dental implants. Our Arcadia office is the Rivertown Dental location that serves Whitehall, and our team there is ready to care for your whole household.

We are a Coulee Region practice with four offices in La Crosse, Holmen, Arcadia and Viroqua. For Whitehall patients, our Arcadia office is the closest. It is the only dental office in Arcadia, and we take that role seriously for the rural Trempealeau County communities around it, including Whitehall. Dr. Katherine Cahill and Dr. Ricardo Aparicio see patients there. Four team members at that office are bilingual, so Spanish-speaking families in Whitehall can talk through their care comfortably. Se habla espanol.

Keeping care close to home matters in a rural area. Our doctors are general dentists, and we keep a wide range of treatment within our own practice, including oral surgery, IV sedation and implant care, without a referral out of the area. Please note that our Arcadia office is closed on Fridays. Our other offices may have openings when you need them, and several of our doctors work at more than one location.

Many Whitehall households come to us because one practice can follow them through every stage of life. Our general dentistry and preventive care includes:

  • Checkups and cleanings with our dental hygienists, plus exams, digital X-rays and oral cancer screenings
  • Care for kids from age 2, including fluoride treatments, dental sealants and nitrous oxide for children who need help relaxing
  • Restorative care such as fillings, inlays, onlays, bridges, molar root canal therapy and same-day CEREC crowns
  • Gum disease treatment, including scaling and root planing and ongoing periodontal maintenance
  • Cosmetic options like in-office teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, clear aligners and smile-design consultations
  • Other needs such as night mouth guards, TMJ/TMD therapy and simple extractions

When teeth are missing or badly worn, we can also talk with you about dental implants, tooth replacement and full mouth reconstruction. We place and restore implants in-house, and our Implant Clinic inside the Holmen building is the home of our full-arch care. For adults who feel anxious about treatment, IV sedation is available.

Why do Whitehall families choose Rivertown Dental?

Our approach is called the Ascent Experience: advanced care, genuine comfort, and a better experience from start to finish. In practice, that means a warm towelette, a blanket, a support pillow, headphones and essential oils while you're in the chair. It also means clear explanations of your options and no judgment about how long it has been since your last visit. If it has been years, we'll start where you are.

Our patients tell us how we're doing. As of November 2026, our Arcadia office has 245 Google reviews with a 4.9 average. Our La Crosse office has 674 reviews with a 4.9 average, our Holmen office has 546 reviews with a 4.8 average, and our Viroqua office has 231 reviews with a 4.8 average. That adds up to more than 1,600 reviews across the practice. We're led by our CEO, Dr. Greg Cochrane, and our Clinical Director, Dr. Jon Cochrane. Our tagline sums up the goal: Dentistry, Done Differently.

How can I pay for my dental care?

We work with many dental insurance plans. Because coverage varies, please call the office to confirm how your plan works with us. We also welcome self-pay patients, and our team is glad to walk you through costs before treatment begins.

If you don't have insurance, our Rivertown Membership Plans, also called the VIP Program, are worth a look. The Classic, Deluxe and Kids plans include cleanings, exams, X-rays and fluoride, plus a discount on treatment. Membership plans cannot be combined with insurance. For larger treatment plans, patients may apply for third-party financing through Cherry, CareCredit or Proceed Finance. Approval depends on each lender's qualification requirements.

How do I get started or get help in an emergency?

Starting care with us is simple. Call our Arcadia office to schedule a first visit for yourself or your family. At that visit, we'll review your health history, complete an exam and any needed X-rays, and talk with you about what we see and what your options are. You'll leave knowing your next steps, and you can ask as many questions as you like.

If you have a dental emergency, call the office closest to you for the earliest opening. We work to see emergencies the same day when our schedule allows, and we will do everything we can to accommodate same-day, next-day or walk-in care at any of our four offices. Whether you need a routine cleaning or urgent relief, we're here for Whitehall and look forward to meeting you.
